Greta and Marcus contacted me to tell their love story as they begin their lives as one. These two invited me to Marcus’s parents house to capture their love story and it was one beautiful place to see. Their story started when they met at UW-Platteville. They happened to have two classes together their freshman year and ass Greta would say it, “If that’s not fate, I don’t know what is.” We ventured around the yard, as they raced through the tall grass, somehow it seemed to be a competition of who could run faster. When I asked what they loved most about each other, Greta said she loved Marcus’s sense of humor and outgoing personality and Marcus said he loves Greta’s competitive edge and that there is never a dull moment. Anything can turn into a competition. It’s all coming together now haha! Some of their favorite things to do together involve watching sports (NHL and NBA) playing tennis and basketball, going hiking & camping and going to see a movie at the theater. It sounds to me like these two will never be short of things to do with each other!
So here we are, ring on Greta’s finger and they cannot stop laughing and goofing around as we are taking their engagement session. Marcus’s family has now ventured outside to watch these two as they take their portraits. (Don’t worry, Marcus made sure they had plenty to do as he made them move everything out of the way anywhere we went for pictures haha!) But let me rewind, just a little, back to when Marcus popped the question! I asked all the details and this is what Greta told me, “Marcus took me out to dinner and had one of his close friends sneak into our apartment and sprinkle rose pedals all over the apartment along with candles (the fake flame ones haha didn’t want to burn down the apartment) leading me to where he had the ring. I was so surprised, I had no idea how he set it all up for the longest time.” With their wedding in Illinois and a honeymoon in the Caribbean where they can sit on the beach, relax, drink and soak up the sun, I sure think these two have lots to do in their near future.
