“Through love, burning fire is pleasing light.”- Rumi
Kate and Chad were married on one of the hottest days this year so far. But like that quote says, through love, burning fire is pleasing light and their love has a flame as big as the sun. I arrived to the airbnb house that Kate and Chad had rented for the week. As I pulled up, cars filled the driveway and there was a beautiful view of the lake across the street. Chad came out and said hello, I asked if he was nervous and he said not yet and laughed. As we walked inside, the house filled with laughter and a bunch of guys getting into suits and ties. As Chad helped the guys with ties and suspenders, the best man made sure that Chad was looking good for his future wife. Meanwhile, the girls were finishing up their hair and makeup at the salon and making their way to the church to get ready. As I arrived at the church the girls were all admiring the dresses and could not wait to put theirs on and help Kate into hers. The flowers were in hand and the guys had been pinned and before you knew it they were lining up ready to walk down the aisle.
Gathered by so many friends and family, the church was filled with guests here to celebrate their love. After the speeches and breaking of bread, they exchanged rings, lit their unity candle and sealed it with a kiss. The wedding party then piled into the bus and headed over to The Red Mill to capture some wedding portraits and there was no lack in silliness with everyone, it sure kept things fun and light. The new Mr. & Mrs. arrived to the reception tent, and everyone was overjoyed and excited to spend the evening dancing, drinking and loving on these two a little more. Kate and Chad had their first dance, singing to each other, followed by Chad and his mom (which dad said she would probably cry but instead she was all smiles) and finally Kate and her dad who danced to The Temptations- My Girl and let me tell you there was so much singing and smiling and twirls going on everyone in the room was smiling and couldn’t help but sing along! Kate and Chad spent the rest of the evening visiting, dancing and even popping champagne at sunset! What can I say, their day was beyond wonderful and I am so happy to have captured these moments for you!
